If you’re looking to get fit while having some video game fun then you’ve come to the right place because these games will give you the sweat while also keeping you on your toes. We won’t be talking about silly games like The Thrill of the Fight or SelfieTennis, but real games with real intensity. Here are the very best Vive games you can try today for fitness!

HoloBall

Of course this is the first one on this list because it can be one of the most intensive Vive games out there. For those who haven’t played it, HoloBall is a four wall Ping Pong game where the ball never leaves the court unless you or the computer scores. This means that until you score a point or the computer scores a point on you, the game could never end. While the game does come with six of its own levels, each harder than the last, the community has also deemed it worthy of receiving modded difficulties. This means that the game could easily be forcing you to surpass the standards and move straight into actual athletic training. If you’re like me, around 316 pounds, you can start off slow and work your way up to those higher levels while quickly shedding the pounds as you move upwards. Plus it looks like Tron, which is always a bonus in my book.

Raw Data

If you were looking for a Triple A game that could whip you into shape, Raw Data would be the one. Not only does it have different types of weapons for different styles of gameplay, but the game is fully featured with a very recognizable difficulty standard. Get some good swings out with a katana, some close quarters combat with a shotgun or a pistol, and some long range combat with a semi-automatic and a bow. The entire point of the game is to hold out as long as you can while you steal data from a giant corporation trying to take over the world. Needless to say, you will be zipping around in turns and hiding behind cover while in intense battle to lose some weight.

Audioshield VR

Do remember Audiosurf and Audiosurf 2? Well, odds are you do not since it was a niche game but the creators who made those games also made Audioshield VR, which is the same type of gameplay but for VR. The combination of the old game mechanics with the VR system makes for one potent workout system that will be as long you want it to be because you can use your own songs. As with HoloBall, the community felt the need to add some modded difficulty so if you’re not moving enough in the game you can just go add one of several difficulty mods. This game is absolutely insane with modded difficulty and just by itself. The entire point of the game is to block incoming shots from hitting you with the shields in your hand and you get different shields, which are bigger or smaller depending on how difficult you want the game to be.

With this collection of games, you’re going to be pouring buckets of sweat so make sure to bring a towel for both you and your system because you don’t want it to fry even though it’s built to handle some sweat. These are the best games available, right now, for the Vive that will get that heart pumping fast enough to lose some weight.

  1. Gotta give a shout out to sound boxing as well! If you can find the right “challenges”, you can get a workout that is amazing, with squats, punches, side to side fast lunges, ect. It’s my current go-to for my main vive workout sessions.
