Grapple Tournament is an exciting VR arcade shooter featuring vertical movement through the use of grappling hooks and an assortment of weapons to eliminate the enemy. Today many of the world’s legendary VR content creators will battle for glory today in the Grapple Tournament Championship hosted by Between Realities VR Podcast.

“When I was younger, I played a lot of games,” states Skeeva, Between Realities VR Podcast Co-Host. “Two PC games that grabbed me and hooked me were Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 Arena. The hours of fast-paced constant action kept me hooked for days at a time. I hoped that one day I would find something like this in virtual reality. After years of playing just about everything, nothing ever scratched that itch until now.”

“Grapple Tournament is everything those games were to me as a kid,” he adds, “but with the added twist of being in VR and swinging around like Spider-Man while fragging my friends!”

Built from the ground up for virtual reality, developers from Tomorrow Games wanted to create meaningful vertical gameplay and they came up with something very different through the use of a grappling hook that enables players to travel around the map while wielding a selection of multi-functional weapons.

“The action, the intense fast-paced battles, it’s all there,” states Skeeva. “Grapple Tournament is an up and coming first-person shooter on Steam VR that once it has a Quest release later this year, will take the VR world by storm. This game has something very special about it.”

Games like Grapple Tournament continue to lay the foundation for the industry of VR esports, which combines physicality and technology in such a way that VR gamers are definitely displaying the sport aspect of electronic gaming.  VR esports are exciting to watch and thrilling to play.
