It can be difficult to work up enough motivation to jump up off the couch and into a daily workout, but one legendary name in exercise equipment is looking to change that.
At CES 2019 in Las Vegas, attendees were treated to a veritable cornucopia of new and exciting virtual reality prospects, including one particularly awesome piece of tech: the NordicTrack VR Bike. The stationary bike includes a sterile yoke as well as standard controller input buttons, a directional pad with triggers, and a svelte new look to top it all off.
There are likely a number of additional exercise games coming to the bike for those looking to add a new step to their VR training regimen, but there isn’t much other information about which ones we can look forward to at present. The NordicTrack VR Bike is coming to retail this summer at around $2,000, and includes a Vive Focus outfitted with several said fitness games, as well as an iFit membership. You can utilize the iFit settings to adjust your bike’s incline, decline, and resistance depending on what your personal trainer suggests.
We’ll bring you more about NordicTrack’s VR bike when more information is released.
